The Internet Yami-Ichi is a flea market-style event where people deal with “Internet-ish” items in an offline market on location. The concept was started in Tokyo in 2012 by IDPW, an organisation led by Japanese artist duo exonemo. Over 40 events have been held in 30 cities over the past 10 years.
Together with Veerle Devreese and Michel Langendijk, we were excited and honoured to host the 25th edition in Utrecht at Tivoli, as part of the ‘Culturele Zondag – Utrecht Digitaal’. During this event, over 50 digital artists gathered to sell internet inspired art and design in an offline real-life market.
