Immersive literature for the Buchmesse

Status: Completed

In 2016, The Netherlands and the Flemish-speaking part of Belgium were guest countries at the Frankfurter Buchmesse. For this occasion, Siuli Ko produced four literary virtual reality projects commissioned by the Creative Industries Fund NL and the Dutch Foundation for Literature. Each work brought together a Dutch or Flemish writer with an interactive designer, exploring new forms of storytelling at the intersection of literature and technology.Among these projects was Lokroep, a collaboration between Studio APVIS and poet Micha Hamel. The work premiered at the Leipziger Buchmesse in 2016, presented as an immersive installation designed by Marco Broeders — a poetic encounter between text, sound, and virtual space.
