Design I/O – Puppet Parade (2011)

During my amazing time running the Medialab at Cinekid together with Paulien Dresscher, we got to commission all kinds of great projects. One highlight within this selection was Puppet Parade, an installation created by Design I/O. This work was designed to give children an interactive motion experience where they were able to perform alongside and interact with the colorful digital puppets on the wall.

Design I/O is an award winning creative studio founded by Theo Watson and Emily Gobeille. They were the founders of openFrameworks, an open source library for writing creative code in C++, and were awarded the prestigious Cooper Hewitt’s National Design Award for Digital Design in 2020.
